Services

Picture
I charge by the square inch as well as a small fee for thread along with any additional services needed.
To estimate what your costs would be: take your quilt length x quilt width x pattern cost + additional items.
**Minimum quilting charge for an all over is $50, Custom is slightly higher depending on complexity**
                                                                            Pattern costs:
Edge to Edge (All Over)
E2E patterns are defined as patterns that start at the top edge and are the same over the entire quilt.

Basic Designs:                    .0165 square inch
             Standard Designs:             .0175 square inch
             Premium Designs:             .019 square inch
Semi-Custom
An example of this would be an E2E design in the center area and a different pattern in the borders.
  • Starts at .02 depending on the complexity and density of the pattern selected.
Custom
An example of this would be a different pattern in each block or area.
  • Starts at .03 per square inch depending on the complexity and density of the pattern selected.
      *Prices subject to change*
**Currently accepting on a case by case situation, please contact me prior**
                                                                              Additional items:
Thread
  • $1 per bobbin of thread ($10 maximum... I exclusively use Omni Thread.)
Batting
  • For your convenience I carry a variety of Quilter's Dream batting; please contact me for pricing if you would like to purchase.
NOTE: I will not accept Mountain Mist or similar extra loft batting because I have found that they do not quilt well and I want you to have the best finished product possible.
Binding
  • .12 per linear inch machine stitched on front for you to hand sew on the back
  • .15 per linear inch if machine stitched on front & back
                                                         (Linear inch = length + width x 2)
NOTE: You will need to provide a yard of fabric if you want me to do your binding; I will cut and piece it together.
Miscellaneous
  • I charge $20 an hour to assemble backing, trimming quilt, fixing borders, pressing quilt, trimming excessive threads, etc. if required.  **I will notify you before performing any of these services if not previously discussed **

Quilt Top & Backing Fabric Checklist:

-Please ensure quilt top, and backing are pressed and square.
-Remove any excess threads from both sides of your quilt top.  (Loose threads can be very noticeable if they stray under an adjacent light fabric.)
-If the quilt top or back is directional: Identify the upper left corner with a note safety pinned to it.
-The backing fabric and batting need to be at least 4-6 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides to facilitate loading process.
-The top, batting, and backing need to be three separate pieces.
-Do not layer, baste or pin the three items together.
-If you need to piece your backing avoid including the selvages in the seam allowance. Use ½ inch seam allowance when piecing your backing.  (It is best to press the seam open.)
-Be sure that all your seams are stitched securely.
**Fullness Disclaimer-Fullness and/or puckers within a quilt top cannot always be quilted out.  I cannot guarantee that puckers and tucks won't be sewn in.  In some cases excessive fullness in borders may result in quilt top corners not being square.  The more flat your quilt top is, the better the finished quilt will be.

Patterns

I’ve included a select few patterns for you to view, unfortunately I have WAY too many to add them all so if you don’t see anything you like or have a specific theme or idea for your quilt you can contact me and I will search the numerous patterns that I have not included here and email you some ideas. I'm always happy to add to my collection so I am willing to purchase a pattern from designers to use for you!  I will work with you to help turn your quilt top into a finished keepsake.
Here are some of my favorite designers that I love to use:   My Creative Stitches, Urban Elementz, Anne Bright, Wasatch Quilting, Methodist Hill Quilt Studio, Sweet Dreams Quilt Studio and TK Quilting.
