Services
I charge by the square inch as well as a small fee for thread along with any additional services needed.
To estimate what your costs would be: take your quilt length x quilt width x pattern cost + additional items. **Minimum quilting charge for an all over is $50, Custom is slightly higher depending on complexity** Pattern costs: Edge to Edge (All Over) E2E patterns are defined as patterns that start at the top edge and are the same over the entire quilt. Basic Designs: .0165 square inch Standard Designs: .0175 square inch Premium Designs: .019 square inch Semi-Custom An example of this would be an E2E design in the center area and a different pattern in the borders.
An example of this would be a different pattern in each block or area.

Quilt Top & Backing Fabric Checklist:
-Please ensure quilt top, and backing are pressed and square.
-Remove any excess threads from both sides of your quilt top. (Loose threads can be very noticeable if they stray under an adjacent light fabric.) -If the quilt top or back is directional: Identify the upper left corner with a note safety pinned to it. -The backing fabric and batting need to be at least 4-6 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides to facilitate loading process. -The top, batting, and backing need to be three separate pieces. -Do not layer, baste or pin the three items together. -If you need to piece your backing avoid including the selvages in the seam allowance. Use ½ inch seam allowance when piecing your backing. (It is best to press the seam open.) -Be sure that all your seams are stitched securely. **Fullness Disclaimer-Fullness and/or puckers within a quilt top cannot always be quilted out. I cannot guarantee that puckers and tucks won't be sewn in. In some cases excessive fullness in borders may result in quilt top corners not being square. The more flat your quilt top is, the better the finished quilt will be. |
